What You Get When You Date Your Neighbor

By definition, a neighbor is someone who lives quite close to you. Many relationships fail for lack of adequate and regular interaction. With a neighbor, however, this should not be a problem. In fact, even if you wanted to avoid your neighbors, you probably could not do it all of the time. The point is, your neighbors are people that you can expect to meet and see on a daily basis. If you are the type who likes to see your partner often, then dating an eligible neighbor might be a good choice for you.

There are all sorts of perks that come with dating a neighbor, many of them stemming from the easy availability and access that you have when it comes to a neighbor.

First, and most obviously, getting together for any purpose or activity -say, a date – will be very simple. Sheer geography will see to that. As long as you can create time for each other on your respective schedules, physical distance will play a very minor role in your relationship.

Second, your date/partner is right there (literally) if ever you need them, such as after a particularly stressful day. We all have times in our life when we feel as if we cannot handle everything that is thrown at us. We all need a shoulder to cry on; an ear ready to listen. Provided that you have chosen your potential partner well, your proximity with your neighbor will only serve to improve the quality of your life, if only because you will have a person who will help you deal with all the raw emotion that life brings.

Thirdly, there is the possibility of interlocking your lives in such a way that your relationship will deepen. After all, if you live so close together, then you can expect one partner’s influence with the other to only broaden, and vice versa. The fact that neighbors often belong to a particular socio-economic class also contributes to this.
